The role of St Joseph’s Pastoral Parish Council is to support the Clergy on matters concerning the pastoral care and spiritual growth of the Parish and developing its missionary work in the wider community.
The Council consists of seven elected Catholic parishioners, along with the Clergy who currently serves the Parish, and other members of the Parish co-opted onto the Council when necessary. Councilors are elected for a 3-year term, and may serve a second term, but no more than 6 years in one stretch.
The Council meets 6 times a year, with 2 of these meetings being open for parishioners to attend. The open meetings are the Parish AGM in September, and the March meeting.
Council members will welcome discussion with any parishioners concerning events in the parish or other concerns, and will be happy to represent views at the Council meetings.
